Without question the FDA is deliberately ignoring several Congressional mandated food safety laws while choosing to conceal massive scientific evidence proving soy contains multiple "natural" contaminates that are especially proven without question as capable of severely damaging the health of fetus, infants and children.The FDA overwhelmingly acknowledges that toxic components of soybeans include; estrogenic endocrine disruptors, inhibitors of several essential developmental enzymes, phytic acid, and heavy metals, that are each and all capable of causing severe and irreversible physiological, reproductive, and neurological adverse effects especially during most vulnerable developmental (fetus, infant, child) exposure.
The FDA lists "soybean, genistein, daidzein (soy phyto-estrogens) on their "Poisonous Plant Database" without enforcing soy toxicity WARNING labels.
1999 FDA Federal Register confirms, "No data were submitted to document the current levels of nitrites or nitrosamines in soy protein isolates. GRAS status of soy did not include a thorough evaluation of the safety of potentially harmful components, e.g. lysioalanine, nitrites and nitrosamines, trypsin inhibitors, phytates, and isoflavones."
With the FDA's very own confirming knowledge of soy's poisonous components, along with several hundred scientific studies also confirming highest risk for developmental adverse soy phyto-toxic effects, it is urgently necessary that Congress take immediate action to investigate and demand that the FDA lawfully post appropriate soy phyto-toxic WARNING labels for public disclosure to protect the health of children from a number of adverse effects.
Also of importance is the 2010 NTP Brief on soy infant formula of which concludes "Clear evidence of (soy formula) adverse effects" to absolutely warrant WITHDRAWAL of soy formulas from the U.S. marketplace as equal to the vast majority of countries around the world. The first 3 ingredients of soy infant formulas are; Corn syrup, soy and sugar, of which each and all are FDA known as developmental poisons.
FDA Commissioner Hamburg's assistant Michael Taylor had been attorney for Monsanto prior to his FDA position. Monsanto profits in the billions from the marketing of soybean seed, in fact genetically modified Round-Up ready soybean seed, as one possible reason why the FDA remains diligent to protect soy industry profits while simply ignoring complete duty to protect the best health and well-being of America's children.
With evidence of increasing marketing of soy phyto-toxic products and soy fillers that target children's foods and beverages, there is no greater time than NOW to put a stop to this ongoing FDA concealing and withholding massive evidence proving high risk potential for the soy causation of multiple adverse developmental health effects.
Soy studies repeatedly prove children's causation of; asthma, allergies, gastrointestinal disorders, kidney, liver, pancreatic damage, immune deficiency disorders, diabetes, thymus damage, hypothyroidism, gender chaos, homosexuality, multiple reproductive disorders (to include infertility), mental disorders such as autism, behavioral disorders, mental retardation, cancers to include leukemia, cancer metastasis, and more.
Surely the American public deserves the immediate right to know about FDA acknowledgment of developmental soy contamination, yet the FDA unthinkably continues to refuse public disclosure!
To date the FDA has no intention to allow public disclosure of developmental soy poisoning. Like so many other instances the FDA refuses WARNING labels for: pesticides, dyes, growth hormones, antibiotics, Genetically Engineered foods/fish, aspartame, or developmental soy phyto-toxicity.......of which many of these Monsanto profits from, and Monsanto has control of our FDA!
Also ask, why does USA congress repeatedly allow food lobbyists who are only interested in protecting toxic food profits?
Since August 2009 the FDA has privately held onto massive evidence proving without question developmental soy poisoning and in fact FDA Commissioner Hamburg, FDA Schneeman (labeling), and FDA Silverman (infant formulas) have NO intention of righteously labeling their acknowledgment of soy contamination that repeatedly proves the causation of fetal, infant, and child physiological, reproductive, and neurological damage.....to once healthy child! Unthinkable FDA betrayal goes without Congressional investigation!
